Dr. McHenry and the St. Carrie's Center has been a beacon light in the rural Delta Area.  Her program has provided services to youth that will help them become productive students and one day productive leaders within the area.  St. Carrie's Center has also help the Misissippi Delta Service Corps Program, by providing opportunities for our member to engage in meaningful community services, and trainings that will carry her a life time and provide her with the skills necessary to become more employable after her term of service.

Dr. McHenry has worked in the Mound Bayou Public School where I served as Federal Programs Director.  She has enthusiastically implemented our Title Programs and ensured that we have staff parent and community support in order to meet our objectives.

I have known Dr. Darleana McHenry for ten years. I have known her as an excellent speaker who is very articulate about her subject matter. She has had many education related assignments where she has done excellent work both in the United States and abroad in Asia and Africa as well as countries such as Mexico. She was at one time our church's Board President. She has represented our church on the Southwest Riverside County Interfaith Council.

Dr. McHenry is always able to gather about her those whose interests are already in tune with hers, or she is able to excite others to join in the work that she is doing. Dr. McHenry has a speaking voice that makes a difference to those who hear her. I would recommend Dr. MackHenry for any assignment she might be given.
